Tragic Crash in Coventry Leaves One Dead, Four Critically Injured

West Midlands Ambulance Service rushed to a horror smash at 10.57pm on Brinklow Road, Binley, Coventry. A car smashed into a tree, sparking a major emergency response.

Five ambulances, three paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor, a critical care paramedic, and the Air Ambulance Critical Care Car all scrambled to the scene.

One Dead, Four Fight for Life

A West Midlands Ambulance spokeswoman revealed: “We found six patients in the car on arrival.”

  • A male passenger suffered life-threatening injuries. Despite advanced life support, “nothing more could be done to save him” and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • The driver and two other male passengers also sustained life-threatening injuries. Paramedics gave advanced trauma care before rushing them to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire under blue light.
  • The sixth man, another passenger, had injuries not believed to be serious and was also taken to the hospital.

Emergency teams remain on high alert as the critically injured fight for survival. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
