Man in his 30s found with stab wounds in NW6 – police suspect self-harm

Rapid response to stabbing scare
At 15:16hrs on Monday, 1 September, the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service raced to the scene. They found a man in his 30s suffering multiple stab wounds.
He was treated urgently at the property before being rushed to hospital. Sources say his injuries are serious but are not expected to be life-threatening or permanently disabling.
Police believe wounds self-inflicted
Officers investigating said the injuries appear to be self-inflicted. A cordon remains in place as enquiries continue at the address.

“At 15:16hrs on Monday, 1 September, officers were called to Palmerston Road, NW6, following concerns for the welfare of a man. A man in his 30s was found with stab injuries. At this stage the injuries are believed to be self-inflicted. He has been taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening or life-changing injuries. A scene remains in place.”
Residents are urged to avoid the area while investigations proceed.
