Young Man Seriously Injured in Bus Crash at West Denton

A man in his 20s suffered serious injuries after being hit by a bus on West Denton Way, Newcastle, late Saturday night.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene Opposite Morrisons

The collision happened just after 10pm near the Morrisons supermarket. Northumbria Police and paramedics were quick to respond.

“Shortly after 7.10pm on Saturday, March 1, we received a report of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian on West Denton Way in Newcastle,” said a Northumbria Police spokeswoman.

“The male pedestrian had serious injuries but they are not believed to be life-threatening. He was taken to hospital for treatment.”

Bus Driver Cooperating as Police Probe Incident

The bus driver stayed at the scene and is fully cooperating with police enquiries. West Denton Way was temporarily closed but has now reopened.
