Tragic Death of Cyclist in Greenwich Sparks Police Appeal

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) have identified the cyclist killed in a brutal crash in Greenwich.

Cyclist Killed in Woolwich Road Crash

Police were called at 8.25am on Friday, 18 May, following reports of a collision between a lorry and a cyclist on Woolwich Road, SE10. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but sadly, the cyclist was pronounced dead at the spot.

Victim Named as Edgaras Cepura

The victim has been formally named as 37-year-old Edgaras Cepura from Greenwich.

Driver Cooperating with Police

The lorry driver stopped at the scene and is fully assisting officers with their investigations. No arrests have been made so far.

Witnesses Urged to Come Forward

Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision but hasn’t contacted police yet. Call the SCIU on 020 8285 1574 with any information.
