Woman Seriously Injured After Stolen Car Crashes in West Bromwich

West Midlands Police are hunting for info after a stolen Volkswagen Golf smashed into a brick wall on Hampshire Road, West Bromwich, late last night.

Driver Flees, Passengers Arrested

The crash happened at around 11:15pm when the stolen Golf failed to stop for officers and crashed. The driver legged it on foot. Two passengers – a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man – were arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft.

Passenger Suffers Serious Head Injuries

A third passenger, a 19-year-old woman, was badly hurt with serious head injuries. She was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.

Police Probe and Public Appeal

The case has been passed to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), standard for police pursuits.
