Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a shooting in Canning Town that left two men hospitalized. Police were called at around 2:05 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, to reports of gunfire on Thorne Close, near Rogers Road in E16. Officers and the London Ambulance Service arrived at the scene and found two men, aged 25 and 27, with gunshot wounds. Both men were taken to the hospital, where they continued to receive treatment. Fortunately, neither has life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command have taken charge of the investigation. Detective Inspector Iain Wallace urged anyone in the area during the early hours of Saturday and may have heard or seen anything suspicious to come forward. “Two men were shot, and it is vital that we identify who is responsible,” he stated. He also encouraged residents and drivers to review any dashcam footage for potential evidence.
