Tragedy struck in Guisborough when a man lost his life in a single-vehicle collision, prompting the police to appeal for witnesses and dash cam footage to aid their investigation. The incident occurred at approximately 8.10pm on Friday, June 30, 2023, on Middlesbrough Road in Guisborough and involved a BMW 5 series.
The victim, identified as 37-year-old Kellam Hodgson, was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. In the wake of this devastating loss, Kellam’s family released a heartfelt tribute and requested privacy during this incredibly challenging period. Another individual, a 35-year-old man, sustained critical injuries and was transported to James Cook University Hospital for treatment. His condition remains critical at this time.
