Random Assault on Elderly Man in Stamford Hill Sparks Hate Crime Probe

Police have launched an urgent investigation after a 64-year-old man was brutally attacked on Stamford Hill at the junction with Colberg Road on Wednesday night, 18 August.

Victim Targeted En Route to Synagogue

The victim was walking to his synagogue around 8:30pm when he was struck in a shocking random assault. The blow caused him to fall, breaking a bone in his foot and leaving him with facial injuries. He was rushed to hospital and has since been discharged.

Hate Crime Investigation Underway

Authorities are treating the attack as a hate crime. Detectives have released images and footage of a man they want to question in connection with the assault. No arrests have been made yet.

Anyone who recognises this man or witnessed the attack is urged to come forward.
