Man in 70s Stabbed on Bus in South London – Linked to Second Peckham Attack
Elderly Victim Found Bleeding on Bus
A pensioner in his 70s was rushed to hospital after being found with stab wounds on a No. 78 bus in South London early this morning (September 5).
The emergency call came in around 5.40am, sparking a fast police and paramedic response. The man’s injuries are reportedly not life-threatening.
Second Stabbing at Peckham Property
Minutes later, police were called to a nearby residential address on Frobisher Place, Peckham, where a 27-year-old man was also found with stab wounds.
Both incidents are believed to be connected. The younger victim is in stable condition after being taken to a south London hospital for treatment.
Suspect Arrested on Suspicion of GBH
A man was arrested close to where the elderly victim was discovered. He is currently in custody on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
A Met Police spokesman said: “At this early stage, the two stabbing incidents are believed to be linked. Our investigation is ongoing.”
