Hero Woman Stops Teen Thugs in Brazen Harlow Scooter Robbery
Teen Gang Targets Man at Cashpoint
Police are hunting for a mystery woman who bravely stepped in during an attempted robbery in Harlow. On Monday 19 October at around 3.40pm, a group of teens tried to snatch an electric scooter from a 49-year-old man outside the NatWest cashpoint in The Rows.
The victim was attacked, but the thugs fled empty-handed after the intervention.
Three Teens Arrested, But Police Want to Talk to Heroine
Officers quickly swooped on the scene, arresting three teenage boys linked to the incident. The suspects include a 15-year-old Harlow lad, a 17-year-old from Hornchurch, and another 15-year-old from Harlow, also accused of carrying an offensive weapon.
All three were released on conditional bail until 14 November as investigations continue.
But police need to find the woman who came out of ZamZam, the shop next to NatWest, to break up the attack.
Do You Know Her?
She’s described as white, in her 20s, with blonde hair tied in a bun. At the time, she wore black sports leggings, a black long-sleeved top, and grey trainers.
Officers urge anyone who witnessed the incident or can identify the brave woman to come forward.
