A Rottweiler bit a young boy on the leg, tearing his trousers and leaving him in pain.

Dog Attack Rocks Pirate Play Park

The incident took place around 5pm on Saturday, 11 March 2023, at the Pirate Play Park in Carrington, just off Loscoe Road.

Owner Flees Scene

The female owner, described as large-built with dark hair, left the park hurriedly via the Mansfield Road exit, leaving questions unanswered.

Police Urge Owner to Come Forward

Police Constable John Pearson from Nottinghamshire Police said, “The dog, which was off its lead, ran up to the young boy and bit him. Thankfully his injuries are not serious.”

He added, “I’m appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or anyone who has any information which could assist us with our investigation, to please get in touch with us.”

PC Pearson also urged, “Finally, I would urge the female owner involved to do the right thing and come forward so we can take her account.”
