The stranger showed up at a UK home, insisting the dog had to be removed immediately due to Covid-19 rules. When challenged, he swiftly walked away and sped off in a white van.

Police urge everyone to stay alert, warning, “We are warning members of the public to be vigilant.”
RSPCA: No Evidence Pets Catch Covid – Don’t Panic
The RSPCA has slammed the fake claims, stating there is “no evidence” pets can catch or spread coronavirus. They added, “We’re urging pet owners not to panic and not to abandon their pets.”
Scammers Pretending To Be Health Officials
Warnings are also out about scammers posing as health officials or offering to collect food and medicines. The Local Government Association advises against accepting help from cold callers.
