Tragic Death in Silverdale Close Flat
An 80-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his 70s was found with serious injuries in an Aylesbury flat. Thames Valley Police were called to Silverdale Close at 4:20 p.m. on January 4, 2025, where paramedics tried to save the victim. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect in Custody as Police Investigate
The arrested man, also from Aylesbury, remains in police custody. Officers confirmed the two men knew each other and stressed they are not seeking anyone else linked to the case. A crime scene cordon is still in place while forensic teams comb the area.
Detective Inspector Nick Hind of the Major Crime Unit said: “We have launched a murder investigation and I recognise the concern this will cause in the local community. However, we have made an arrest and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.”
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing, and a scene will remain in place for some time while our investigation continues. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
