Knife Scare at Nottingham Pub Sparks Arrest
Police rushed to The Joseph Else pub on South Parade, Nottingham, just before 6pm on 27 December after reports of a heated argument between men. Things took a sinister turn when officers found a knife left on a chair at the scene.
Man, 31, Busted Over Knife Threat and Class-A Drugs
After reviewing CCTV footage, officers arrested a 31-year-old on suspicion of carrying a bladed article in public. A search uncovered a bag of white powder on him, leading to a further arrest for possession of a Class-A drug.
Sergeant Vows: No Tolerance for Weapons on Our Streets
“Thankfully no-one was seriously injured during this isolated incident but we are continuing to work hard to establish exactly what happened,” Sergeant Paul Crofts said.
“Violence will not be tolerated on our streets and we will take robust action against those who choose to carry and use dangerous weapons.”
He added Nottinghamshire Police are relentless in tackling knife crime, with two dedicated teams patrolling daily. Preventative work includes school programmes and partnerships across the county to keep communities safe year-round.
