Weapons Haul in Sneinton Leads to Two Arrests

Nottinghamshire Police swooped on a shared house in Sneinton this morning, discovering a stash of illegal weapons hidden in a bedroom.

Warrant Carried Out at St Stephen’s Road

Officers executed a warrant at around 11am on 29 March at a property on St Stephen’s Road. Inside, a 47-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of possession of a prohibited weapon.

Police Crackdown on Weapon Crime

Chief Inspector Paul Hennessy praised the operation, calling it “proactive” and “intelligence-based.”

“It is always good news when we can take weapons off the streets and destroy them,” he said.

He added that Nottinghamshire Police are committed to relentlessly cracking down on weapon-enabled crime to keep their communities safe.
