Brutal Glass Attacks Spark Two Arrests in Nottinghamshire Pubs
A man was rushed to hospital with serious head wounds after being struck with a glass at the And Why Not bar in Mansfield just after midnight today (Sunday 20 March). Despite heavy blood loss, his injuries are not life-threatening. A 38-year-old woman has been arrested for grievous bodily harm in connection with the attack.
Another Glass Assault Hits Arnold
Less than an hour earlier, a woman was attacked and suffered facial cuts after being hit with a glass during a row at Sasha’s bar on Front Street, Arnold. She was also taken to hospital, but her injuries aren’t life-threatening. A 27-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Police Warning: Glass Attacks Are No Joke
Detective Sergeant James Flint of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Both of these incidents have resulted in people being arrested for a really serious offence. Glass attacks have the potential to cause serious harm and are treated really seriously by Nottinghamshire Police.”
“Investigations are ongoing. We urge anyone who witnessed these attacks or has footage to come forward. Your information could be crucial.”
