Teenager Dies After Brutal Stabbing in Huddersfield
A 17-year-old boy has tragically died following a serious stabbing in Huddersfield’s Kings Mill Lane area early Monday morning.
Two Men and Woman Arrested
Police arrested two males, aged 37 and 14, on suspicion of attempted murder. A 19-year-old woman was also taken into custody later in the day as the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team launches a full-scale investigation.
Heroic Efforts to Find Witnesses
The victim was found lying on the ground around 3:57 a.m. and rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries caused by a bladed weapon. Sadly, he died Monday morning.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Weekes urged locals to come forward, saying:
“I am appealing for witnesses and information from the public. We want to speak to anyone who saw the attack or noticed suspicious behaviour in the Kings Mill Lane area between 3:40 and 4 a.m., or anyone with footage that could help.”
Ongoing Police Presence and Road Closures
- The crime scene remains cordoned off, with road closures on Somerset Road and Dog Kennel Bank.
- Huddersfield Neighbourhood Policing Team will patrol Kings Mill Lane today to reassure residents.
