Fatal Fire in Eltham Sparks Major Investigation
A deadly blaze tore through a property on Reventlow Road, Eltham, on Sunday afternoon, leaving one man dead. Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 4pm but could not save the victim.
Fire Crews and Police Team Up
Four fire engines, police officers, and paramedics responded quickly. Despite their best efforts, the man was declared deceased at the scene. The London Fire Brigade’s specialist investigators are now working alongside the Metropolitan Police in a joint probe to determine the fire’s cause.
Crime Scene Established, Forensics On Site
Officers have set up a crime scene outside the home with a blue tarpaulin covering the front door. CID detectives and forensic teams have been seen entering the property as the investigation heats up. Emergency services remain on site as inquiries continue.
