Commuters faced a nightmare Monday morning as a train derailment near Wimbledon caused chaos across London’s rail network. Around 6am, the last carriage of an eight-car train came off the tracks at Alexandra Road, Wimbledon, sparking delays and mass evacuation.

South Western Railways immediately halted services between London Waterloo and Wimbledon following the incident. Nearly 300 passengers were evacuated safely from the partially derailed train as emergency crews rushed to the scene.
