Bexhill Charity Shop Targeted in Sneaky Purse Snatch

Police in Bexhill, Sussex, are hunting a brazen thief who swiped a purse from charity shop staff.

Thief Distracts Staff, Makes Off with Purse

Between 1:30pm and 2:30pm on Friday, 11 February, a man posing as a customer entered a shop on St Leonards Road. He distracted a staff member, slipped into the staff room, and grabbed a purse before walking out.

Fraud Alert: Stolen Credit Cards Used Nearby

The stolen credit cards were then used to make purchases at local shops. Police want to speak to anyone who recognises this man.

Suspect Description & How to Help

  • White male, about 6ft tall
  • Wearing a black baseball cap and black scarf/face covering
  • Large dark coat
  • Carrying a Marks & Spencer cloth-style bag
