Croydon Man Snared in Major Drugs Bust
Sammy Mosuambe, 23, from Croydon’s Houlder Crescent, has been locked up after cops caught him dealing Class A drugs in Brighton and Hove.
Drugs Stashed in Trouser Legs and Hove Flat
Police stopped Mosuambe near Selborne Road on February 6 after a local PCSO linked him to suspicious activity. During the search, seven small wraps of cocaine fell from his trousers. Officers also found a key to a flat on The Drive in Hove.
At the Hove property, cops uncovered 50 grams of cocaine split into 100 wraps, around £200 in cash, and a small stash of cannabis. Another search in custody revealed two phones, nearly £200 in cash, and more cocaine.
Four Years Inside for Croydon Drug Dealer
Mosuambe pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and one count of possessing cannabis at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on February 18. On March 8 at Lewes Crown Court, he was sentenced to four years for the Class A charges and one month for cannabis possession — all running concurrently.
“This conviction has taken a dangerous individual off our streets, who was wilfully supplying harmful substances in Brighton and Hove,” said Detective Ed Downes.
“Illegal drugs cause devastating harm, not just physically but through the violence and exploitation linked to the trade. This sentence sends a clear message — we’re cracking down on dealers and bringing them to justice.”
