Man Found Dead at Southampton Home – Police Investigate Unexplained Death
A 54-year-old man was discovered dead in his Southampton home on Wednesday, March 22. Weber Nogueira’s body was found at his Ocean Village property on Channel Way at 11:16 a.m.
Police Seeking Dashcam Footage and Witnesses
Hampshire Police have launched an investigation, treating the death as ‘unexplained.’ Specially trained officers are supporting Weber’s family through this difficult time.
“We are in the early stages of this investigation and are keeping an open mind as to how Weber died,” said Detective Chief Inspector Rod Kenny, who is leading the inquiry.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was driving near Canute Road, Ocean Way, Channel Way, or the surrounding Ocean Village area between 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, and 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, to come forward with any dashcam footage or information.
Public Safety and Police Presence
At this stage, police confirm there is no known threat to the public. Chief Inspector Marcus Kennedy, deputy district commander for Southampton, added,
“Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died. More officers will be seen in the Ocean Village area. If you have any information that could assist this investigation or have concerns, please speak to them.”
