Authorities responded promptly to the situation, conducting a thorough search of the area after receiving a single report about a man carrying a firearm on Chaplain Road at approximately 10.00 BST
Fortunately, no threats were made, and no weapon was found during the investigation. Despite efforts to locate the individual matching the description provided, the authorities were unable to locate anyone of concern. As a precautionary measure, staff from Alexandra Infants School, located on Spring Road, were advised to keep children inside for a short period while the investigation was underway.
