Stabbing Shock at Hammersmith Road: Victim Escapes Serious Injury

Chaos erupted at around 8.10pm on Saturday, 1 August, at the junction of Wolverton Gardens and Hammersmith Road. A 30-year-old man found himself in the centre of a violent fracas involving two suspects.

Money Scattered as Fight Breaks Out

The victim arrived in a vehicle believed to be carrying the two suspects. After stepping out, he entered a different parked car opposite, followed closely by one of the suspects. An intense altercation followed. The first suspect was pushed from the second vehicle, which then sped off with the victim inside, spilling a large sum of cash onto the road.

The driver even reversed towards the first suspect, who narrowly dodged the vehicle before it came to a halt. The victim got out, only for both suspects—one of whom had remained in the initial car—to attack him, inflicting multiple stab wounds.

Suspects Flee Down One-Way Street

Both suspects quickly jumped back into their vehicle parked on Wolverton Gardens and fled the scene, driving the wrong way down the one-way street. The victim managed to get to hospital by himself and was later discharged.

Police Hunt Suspects and Urge Witnesses to Speak Out

The Central West Command Unit is now investigating and has released images of the two men they want to question about the incident.

Detective Constable Emily Martin said: “While the images are not the clearest, someone will have seen this dramatic incident unfold. The victim was incredibly lucky his injuries were not worse. If you recognise these men or were near the scene, please get in touch immediately.”

Anyone with information, videos, or photos is urged to call police on 101, quoting reference CAD 7870/1 Aug.
