Brutal Stabbing in Totton Shocks Hampshire Community
Hampshire police have launched a serious investigation after a vicious stabbing near Southampton on Saturday night.
Violent Attack at Calmore Roundabout
The horror unfolded just after 7.45pm on Salisbury Road, Totton. Emergency services rushed to the scene after a man was brutally stabbed close to the Calmore roundabout.
Witnesses who heard arguing rushed outside. Some helped the victim while others chased two suspects who fled the scene. One brave member of the public applied pressure to the victim’s wound as they waited for paramedics.
Crime Scene Under Lockdown
Police sealed off the area, with officers maintaining a blue cordon around the property. A white forensic tent was set up at the rear, where specialist investigators combed for evidence. A blue BMW remains parked on the driveway, blocked off by police vehicles.
This morning, flowers and tributes lie where the attack happened. A red holy bible rests against a nearby fence, marking the community’s grief.
Community Left Reeling
Neighbours say the area used to be peaceful. One local, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “As a community, we need to show compassion to those affected.” Another added: “I’m too shocked and upset to say more.”
Hampshire Constabulary have yet to confirm any arrests or appeal for information.
