Man, 23, Stabbed in Croydon – Rushed to Major Trauma Centre
A 23-year-old man was stabbed on George Street, Croydon, this afternoon (October 1). Emergency crews rushed to the scene at around 1:55 pm after the London Ambulance Service was called.
Rapid Response from Emergency Services
Paramedics arrived within five minutes of the call at 1:53 pm. They treated the victim at the scene before rushing him to a London major trauma centre as a priority. His current condition is unknown as police await an update.
Crime Scene and Investigation Underway
Metropolitan Police have sealed off the area and launched a full investigation. So far, no arrests have been made.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 13:55 hrs on Tuesday, 1 October to reports of a man stabbed on George Street in Croydon. Officers attended. The 23-year-old man was taken to hospital by the LAS; we await an update on his condition. A crime scene is in place, and enquiries continue.”
