It was a heartwarming moment this week as Lissie Harper met the latest recruit to the Thames Valley Police mounted unit: a horse named Harper. Describing the animal, Lissie said, “a big friendly giant with huge feet and big ears… just perfect.”
Tribute to Fallen Hero
Craig O’Leary, Chairman of the Thames Valley Police Federation, expressed pride over the name choice. “I am absolutely delighted that the mounted section have chosen the name Harper for their latest horse,” he said. “It’s a fitting tribute to our fallen colleague Andrew Harper, who was held in such high regard by us all.”
