£60K Jewellery Heist Rocks Ponders End Home
Burglars Strike While Owner Away
Detectives from the Met’s North Area Command Unit are hunting thieves who stole over £60,000 worth of jewellery in a brazen Ponders End burglary.
The 42-year-old homeowner was away from around 10am on Thursday, 19 March, returning late Saturday night to find her back window forced open and her prized jewellery missing.
Mess Left Behind, But No Suspects Found
Police swiftly attended the scene, spotting signs of a messy search. Despite this, no suspects were caught at the property.
The victim described the loss as devastating, especially since many pieces held huge sentimental value.
Police Release Jewellery Images – Warning to Sellers and Shops
Detective Constable Jarrah Harburn pleaded: “Please look at and share these images. The answer might lie within the local community.” She urged anyone offered suspicious jewellery, or shopkeepers and pawnbrokers approached with untraceable items, to get in touch immediately.
