An investigation is underway after a man in his 50s was brutally strangled and left unconscious in a shocking attack at Bank Underground Station.
Violent Assault at Bank Station
The terrifying incident happened shortly after 3pm on Monday, 30 June. The victim was heading towards the Central Line escalators when another man suddenly confronted him with a string of abuse. Without warning, a heated argument exploded into violence.
Strangled at the Escalators
At the base of the escalators, the suspect grabbed the victim in a ruthless headlock. The victim lost consciousness during the struggle. The attacker then made a quick escape, boarding a Central Line train moments later.
Police Seek Crucial Witness
British Transport Police have now released an image of a man they believe holds key information. Officers are urging anyone who recognises this individual or who saw what happened to come forward immediately.

“We need witnesses to help bring this attacker to justice,” said a police spokesperson. “No one should have to fear for their safety on public transport.”
