Disturbing Bus Assault: Met Police Hunt Creepy Commute Harasser

Woman Targeted on Morning Bus

The Metropolitan Police are urgently seeking the public’s help after a woman was harassed and assaulted during her early morning commute. The shocking incident happened around 6:20am on Tuesday, July 4, aboard the 116 bus on Staines Road, Feltham.

The victim had taken a seat on the top deck. Moments later, a man who got on at the same stop plonked himself directly behind her and began his vile behaviour.

Man Touches, Hugs and Kisses Victim Without Consent

The unknown attacker initially tried to grope the woman through the seat gap. When she moved away, he got more aggressive. He grabbed her waist, then reached over to seize her shoulders, holding her in an unwanted hug for 30 seconds before kissing her cheek. The woman was left terrified and shaken by the ordeal.

Worse still, the predator followed her when she got off at the 123 stop, continuing his sinister pursuit.

Police Launch Investigation and Release Suspect Image

Just 20 minutes later, while the victim was on a different bus, police were already on the case. The Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command swiftly opened an investigation and have released an image of the man they want to speak to in connection with the crime.

Detective Constable Charlotte Joseph slammed the attack, saying, “This type of behaviour on public transport is absolutely unacceptable.”

She urged anyone recognising the man to come forward immediately. “We need to identify and apprehend this individual as he may pose a continued threat.”
