The Coastguard’s Search and Rescue chopper, Rescue 175, was scrambled to Brighton in a nail-biting rescue mission after two people became stuck beneath Brighton Palace Pier.

Coastguard teams, police, and paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance raced to the scene. The RNLI lifeboat was also called in to help pluck the trapped pair to safety.
