Teen Stabbed to Death on Woolwich Street as Police Launch Major Manhunt

Fatal Attack Shocks Woolwich

A teenage boy has been fatally stabbed on Woolwich New Road, sparking chaos and a police lockdown. The assault unfolded just before 5.25pm, sending shockwaves through the community.

Bystanders Tried to Save Victim

Passersby rushed to help, with a harrowing video showing a man desperately giving chest compressions while the boy lay bleeding on the pavement. Met Police officers soon took over first aid efforts but, tragically, the victim was pronounced dead at 6.08pm. Police have not released the exact age of the boy.

A large crowd gathered at the scene but officers urged them to disperse: “Please leave the area, allow us to do what we need to do to save this man’s life.”

Massive Police Operation Underway

Following reports the suspect may be inside a nearby Tesco, armed police evacuated the store and launched a search. Three police tents and a vast cordon now block off Woolwich New Road and surrounding streets, including Woolwich Arsenal Park.

An air ambulance arrived earlier but has since taken off. Meanwhile, police continue to comb the area, urging witnesses to come forward.
