Blaze Destroys Three Sheds in Maidstone
Firefighters rushed to Cornwall Close, Maidstone on Saturday evening after a devastating shed fire broke out. Three sheds were completely destroyed as flames quickly spread.
Rapid Response from Fire Crews
Kent Fire and Rescue Service got the distress call at 7:01pm reporting one shed ablaze that had ignited two others. Within minutes, three fire engines arrived on the scene. Firefighters donned breathing apparatus and deployed high-pressure hose reel and main jets to tackle the blaze.
The fire was brought under control and fully extinguished by 7:58pm, preventing further damage to the surrounding area.
No Injuries But Cause Unknown
Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the incident. The cause of the fire remains a mystery and is currently under investigation by authorities.
Locals Praise Firefighters’ Quick Action
A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesperson praised the crews, saying: “The prompt actions of the firefighters prevented the fire from spreading further, safeguarding nearby properties and ensuring no one was injured.”
Resident Sarah Thompson added, “We were really worried when we saw the flames. The firefighters did an incredible job stopping it from spreading.”
The fire service has urged anyone with information about the blaze to come forward as investigations continue.
