Armed Robbery Shakes Southampton Pub
Masked thugs staged a terrifying armed robbery at the Walnut Tree Farm pub in Southampton late Sunday night. The gang struck between 11.50pm and midnight on May 5, just as staff were closing up for the night.
Knives, Balaclavas and a Targeted Heist
At least four suspects wearing balaclavas and dark clothes forced their way in through a rear door. Armed with knives, they threatened staff before cracking open a safe and making off with a stash of cash. The robbers fled towards Frogmore Lane and Redbridge Lane, carrying four plastic till trays and a metal cash tin.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“We believe this to be a targeted incident,” said Acting Detective Chief Inspector Colin White. “No-one was injured, but staff were left shocked and distressed.”
Police are hunting for anyone who saw suspicious activity before or after the robbery. CCTV and dashcam footage could be key in catching the culprits.
