Tesco Ram-Raided in Daring Overnight Smash-and-Grab
A Tesco store was brutally ram-raided overnight after crooks sliced through metal shutters. They used a motorbike to smash through the front window in a brazen early morning raid.
Motorbike Used as Battering Ram in Targeted Raid
The break-in happened in the early hours of Friday, 10 May 2025. Police believe it was a deliberate, targeted burglary. Witnesses saw a gang fleeing the scene just minutes after the window was shattered.
Sources reveal the suspects first cut through the store’s shutters before revving a motorbike straight into the glass as a battering ram. The smash left extensive damage, though it’s still unclear what, if anything, was stolen.
Police Launch Investigation, No Arrests Yet
A police spokesperson said:
“We are investigating a break-in at a Tesco store that occurred overnight. Initial inquiries suggest entry was gained by forcing the shutters and using a motorbike to smash the front window.”
“Officers are reviewing CCTV footage and conducting forensic work at the scene. No arrests have been made at this stage.”
Police cordoned off the area on Friday morning while searching for suspects and gathering evidence.

Residents and motorists with dashcam footage from the area overnight are urged to come forward. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting the time and location of the incident, or report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
