Firearms officers rush to Langley Green
Police in Crawley, West Sussex, scrambled armed units to an address in Langley Green on Tuesday evening (16th July 2024). The call came after reports that a man was seen carrying what appeared to be a firearm.
Five men arrested, one for firearm possession
At the scene on Walnut Lane, officers quickly arrested five men without incident. One was taken into custody for possessing the suspected firearm. The other four were held on suspicion of involvement in drug supply offences.
Police reassure public as investigation continues
“No one was harmed during the incident, and enquiries are ongoing,” said Sussex Police. “Our officers remain in the area to provide reassurance to the community. Please speak to them if you have any concerns.”
