Vulnerable Woman Scammed Out of Thousands in Worthing

Police were called on 31 December after reports of a scam targeting a 79-year-old woman on Melrose Avenue, Worthing. The elderly victim, considered vulnerable, was conned out of thousands of pounds by a man pretending to carry out work at her home.

Suspect Targeted Woman with Fake Work Offer

The suspect tricked the woman into allowing him to perform services before demanding payment. Authorities believe he may hold key information about the fraud.

Police want to speak to the man pictured and are urging anyone who recognises him or has information to come forward. Contact the police via their website or call 101, quoting reference 1172 of 31/12.
