Forest Gate Teen Stabbed to Death – Police Name Victim
Detectives have named the victim of a brutal stabbing in Forest Gate as 18-year-old Sami Sidhom from Newham. While formal identification is pending, police are confident it’s Sami.
Deadly Stabbing in Chestnut Avenue
Officers responded to reports of a stabbing on Chestnut Avenue at around 10:50pm on Monday, 16 April. Paramedics, including London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene but Sami was pronounced dead at 11:27pm.
Next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem will take place soon, but no arrests have been made yet.
Homicide Unit Launches Investigation
Detective Inspector John Marriott, leading the probe, said: “We are in the early stages and keeping an open mind on the motive for Sami’s murder.”
He added: “If you were in the area last night and saw or heard anything, no matter how small, please come forward. Your information could crack this case.”
