Officers from the North and South Roads Policing Units teamed up with response teams to track down the vehicle, which was involved in a theft earlier that evening. A search revealed false number plates, burglary tools, and a stash of drugs inside the car.
Evidence Seized, Trio in Custody
All three occupants were arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft, drug possession, and being equipped for theft. They remain in police custody as investigations roll on. The police seized the vehicle for forensic checks, probing whether it’s linked to other thefts in the area.
A police spokesperson said: “This was a great example of cross-unit teamwork. Thanks to fast coordination between North and South RPU and response officers, we were able to locate the suspect vehicle quickly, carry out a thorough search, and make arrests without incident.”
