Two Dead in Horror Crash Near Iwade
Witnesses and dashcam owners are urgently urged to come forward after a fatal smash near Iwade on Saturday night claimed two lives.
Crash Details and Emergency Response
Kent Police were called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at around 8.30pm on Saturday 3 January 2026 following reports of a car leaving the road on Old Ferry Road, near Iwade.
Officers, paramedics, and Kent Fire and Rescue crews rushed to the scene. Old Ferry Road was shut between Raspberry Hill Lane and Sheppey Way, causing major evening traffic chaos.
The crash involved a blue Ford Fiesta. Sadly, two people were pronounced dead at the scene. A third occupant was rushed to hospital with injuries.
Police Investigation Underway
The road remains closed while forensic experts conduct a detailed examination of the crash site. Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are leading the inquiry to uncover exactly what happened.

Investigators are asking anyone in the area at the time to come forward. In particular, they want dashcam or CCTV footage that could help piece together the tragedy.
