Two Teens Arrested Over Brighton Stabbing
Two 18-year-olds were arrested in Hove on Thursday, 12 November, after police executed warrants at separate addresses.
Serious Stabbing in Busy Brighton Spot
The arrests follow a violent fight reported at 10.15pm on Wednesday, 4 November, in Montpelier Place, Brighton. A 40-year-old man was stabbed and rushed to Royal Sussex County Hospital, where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Six Men Now Released Under Investigation
So far, six men aged between 18 and 57, all from Brighton and Hove, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have since been released under investigation as police dig deeper.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
“This happened in a busy area of Brighton,” said Detective Chief Inspector Gordon Denslow from Surrey and Sussex Police Major Crime Team. “We are appealing to anyone with information — including CCTV, dash cam or phone footage — to come forward. Someone knows what happened, and we urge them to do the right thing and speak to us immediately.”
DCI Denslow added the victim and suspects know each other, describing the attack as an isolated incident with no danger to the wider community.
