Knife-Threat Armed Robbery Shocks Nottinghamshire Shop
Just after 6pm on Saturday, January 7, a shocking robbery went down at a business on Watnall Road. A man stormed into the store, hand tucked in his pocket, claiming he had a knife. He shoved the shopkeeper aside and snatched cash from the till.
Two Suspects Nabbed After CCTV Clue
While the robbery unfolded, a second man lingered nearby, acting as lookout. Police quickly reviewed CCTV footage, which led them to arrest two men aged 55 and 30 at a nearby address.
Third Man Arrested on Drug Charges
When officers arrived, they also detained a third man found with cannabis and a stack of cash. He was arrested for drug offences.
Detective Sergeant Andrea Brown said: “This was a nasty and distressing incident. A man has entered the store and has used force to get behind the counter and steal cash from the till. We have acted fast to locate the offenders and made two arrests. No one should have to go into a shop and experience this type of incident.”
