Tragic Crash in Birmingham: Two Dead as Car Hits Street Furniture and Catches Fire

Horrific Collision on Hagley Road West

West Midlands Ambulance Service raced to a violent crash at 9.52pm last night at the junction of Hagley Road West and Winchfield Drive, Beech Lanes, Birmingham. A car had smashed into street furniture and burst into flames.

Emergency Response Scrambles to Scene

The response was swift. One ambulance, two paramedic officers, a Critical Care Car from the Air Ambulance Service, and a BASICS emergency doctor were all dispatched to the fiery scene.

Two Dead, One Seriously Injured

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman revealed grim details: “Crews found three people in the burning car. The driver and a passenger suffered serious injuries but sadly, nothing could be done and both were confirmed dead at the scene.”

“The third patient, a male passenger, was treated with advanced trauma care before being rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further treatment.”
