Two Arrested After Woman Hit by Car in Southend
Police are still at the scene on Sutton Road, Southend, after a Fiat Seicento crashed into a woman just after 1pm today, Wednesday 12 April.
Woman Hospitalised with Leg Injuries
The pedestrian, a woman, was rushed to hospital with leg injuries. Officers are providing her with support as she recovers.
Two Men Arrested at Scene
Police acted fast and arrested two men in connection with the incident.
Appeal for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Detective Constable Neil Utley from Southend CID said: “We are treating this incident very seriously and are working hard to establish exactly what happened in the moments leading up to it.”
He added: “This took place in a public area and we believe there are likely to be numerous witnesses and premises with CCTV or doorbell cameras.”
Officers want anyone who saw the crash or has footage to come forward and help with the investigation.
