Emergency Services Rush to Rescue Worker Trapped Under Concrete Wall in London

Emergency crews were scrambled to a Hammersmith Road construction site after a worker became trapped under a collapsed concrete staircase on Friday morning.

Specialist USAR Teams Join the Rescue Effort

At around 10am, the London Fire Brigade (LFB) received the distress call. They immediately dispatched two fire engines, a fire rescue unit, and a command unit from Station 1. Specialist Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams were also sent to the scene to assist in the complex operation.

Firefighters Work Closely with Paramedics and HART Teams

Fire crews are collaborating with paramedics and the London Ambulance Service’s Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART) to free the trapped worker. The concrete staircase collapse left the man pinned, triggering a high-stakes rescue mission.

The London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
