Drama Off Kingsdown: Three People Found Safe After Kayak Scare

Walmer RNLI lifeboat was scrambled in a flash after an urgent call at 1.16pm on Sunday. The crew launched just seven minutes later, rushing to reports of three people spotted in the water off Kingsdown.

Arriving fast on the scene, the lifeboat crew found all three safe and sound, already ashore. Crisis averted – no one was hurt.

But the job wasn’t over. The lifeboat team relaunched to retrieve the drifting kayak and bring it back to the beach, before heading home by 1.48pm.
