Crews from East Grinstead, Haywards Heath, and East Sussex Fire and Rescue sprang into action, donning breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze. Armed with hose reels and a thermal imaging camera, they fought the fire head-on.
Bus Evacuated Before Firefighters Arrived
A fire department spokeswoman confirmed the bus had been safely evacuated before crews got there. She added the fire was sparked accidentally, ruling out foul play.
