Young Man Savagely Attacked in Swindon’s Old Town Alley
A 19-year-old was brutally set upon by two men during a night out in Swindon’s Old Town just after midnight on Sunday, 16 May.
Intervention Sparks Violent Assault
The victim, out with friends, stepped in to break up an argument between two men in the alleyway between Wood Street and Hooper’s Place. Moments later, he was attacked – one of the assailants wielded a metal pole.
Injuries and Escape
The fight spilled into Hooper’s Place, leaving the teen hospitalised with cuts, bruises, and serious damage to his front teeth. His attackers fled down the alley.
Suspect Description & Police Appeal
- Both suspects described as Asian males, dressed in dark clothing
- One possibly wearing a beanie or backwards baseball cap
PC Rachel Beer urged witnesses to come forward: “This was a nasty and unprovoked assault on a young man enjoying a night out. We know many people were nearby and need anyone with info or footage to contact us.”
