Cop Seriously Assaulted in Sutton Road Attack
At 11.15am on Wednesday, 21 October 2020, a Kent Police officer was brutally attacked in broad daylight on Woodside Road, Mangravet, Sutton Road. The officer was carrying out enquiries when two men launched a serious assault.
Suspects Flee But Caught Quickly
As the officer approached a man sitting in a car, he was set upon. The pair, both in their 20s, fled the scene but were swiftly tracked down and arrested by arriving officers.
Officer Hospitalised But Now Stable
The injured cop was rushed to hospital and has since been discharged. However, he still needs further medical treatment. Both suspects remain in custody as police continue their investigation.
