Victim Blocked From Entering Car
A man was stopped from getting into his car on Sir John Fogge Avenue at around 12:50pm, Friday 9 July 2021, after visiting a property to speak to residents.
Suspect Follows and Attempts Headbutt
The attacker didn’t stop there. He followed the victim down the road into Repton Avenue and tried to headbutt him.
Public Step In, Police Called
Thankfully, members of the public jumped in to help. The victim then ran to a nearby building site where workers assisted him in dialing the police.
Police Appeal to Witnesses, Especially Mercedes Driver
Kent Police are investigating the assault and urging anyone who saw what happened to get in touch. They especially want to trace a man in a dark charcoal Mercedes CLA who stopped to help the victim. He could hold vital information.
